Privacy Policy
Last updated 9 October 2026
This policy explains what information Gulshan Yadav (“ARNscope”, “we”, “us”), Patlipada, Thane West, Maharashtra 400607, India, collects through the ARNscope desktop app and arnscope.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and how we protect it. It is published under the Information Technology Act, 2000, its rules on reasonable security practices and sensitive personal data, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
The short version
ARNscope runs on your Mac and talks directly to AWS. Your AWS credentials, resources, logs and data never pass through us. The app has no analytics, telemetry or crash reporting. We only hold what we need to sell you a licence and answer your emails.
1. Information we collect
When you buy a licence
- Name, email address, billing country, and tax ID if you provide one.
- Order details: product, amount, currency, date, tax and order number.
- Payment details are entered on Stripe’s secure checkout. We receive only a payment reference and status, never your full card number, CVV or bank login.
When you activate the app
- Your licence key and your Mac’s computer name (for example “Priya’s MacBook”), sent to our licensing provider so you can see and manage which Macs use your key. The app re-checks the key about once a day.
- When checking for updates, the app requests a file from
updates.arnscope.com; like any web request, this reveals your IP address and app version to our hosting provider.
When you contact us or sign up for news
- Your email address and anything you write to us. “Report a problem” in the app opens a pre-filled email in your own mail app containing the app version, macOS version and recent app log lines (with credentials removed). Nothing is sent until you send that email.
- If you sign up for launch news on arnscope.com, your email address.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your AWS credentials, access keys, SSO tokens, AWS account contents, S3 files, database data, logs or usage of the app. These stay on your Mac. Credentials you add in the app are kept in encrypted storage on your Mac. arnscope.com uses no cookies, advertising or tracking scripts.
2. How we use it
- To process your payment, issue and validate your licence key, and send receipts and invoices.
- To send renewal reminders and important notices about your licence.
- To answer support requests, process refunds and prevent fraud or licence misuse.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
- To send launch or product news, only if you signed up; every email has an unsubscribe link.
We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
3. Who we share it with, and how
We share information only with the service providers below, only what each needs, over encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections and under their own privacy and security terms:
- Stripe: to take payments and refunds.
- Lemon Squeezy: to issue, activate and validate licence keys.
- Kit (ConvertKit): to send launch and product emails you signed up for.
- Cloudflare: to host arnscope.com and app updates.
- Our email provider: to receive and answer your emails.
Some of these providers process data outside your country. We may also disclose information when required by law, a court order or a government authority, or to protect our rights against fraud.
4. Security practices
- All website, payment, licensing and update traffic uses HTTPS/TLS.
- Card and bank details are handled only by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified.
- App updates are cryptographically signed and verified before they install.
- In the app, licence keys and any credentials you add are kept in encrypted storage on your Mac, and the app’s activity log removes credentials and secrets.
- Access to order and customer records is limited to us, protected by strong passwords and two-factor authentication.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we follow reasonable security practices and will notify you and the relevant authorities of a breach as the law requires.
5. How long we keep it
Order and invoice records are kept for 8 years, as tax law requires. Licence records are kept while the licence is active and for 1 year after. Support emails are kept for 2 years. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.
6. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, withdraw consent for marketing emails, or nominate someone to act for you, by writing to [email protected]. We reply within 30 days. Records we must keep by law are kept for the required period.
7. Children
ARNscope is a professional tool and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect children’s data.
8. Changes
We will post any changes on this page and update the date at the top. Material changes are emailed to active licence holders.
