Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Gulshan Yadav (“ARNscope”, “we”, “us”), Patlipada, Thane West, Maharashtra 400607, India. They cover the ARNscope desktop app for macOS (the “App”), licences for it, and the website arnscope.com. By downloading, installing or buying the App, you accept these terms. If you buy for a company, you accept them on its behalf.

1. The App

ARNscope is a desktop app for working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) resources from your Mac. It runs on your computer and connects directly to AWS using the AWS profiles and credentials already set up on that computer. We do not run a service that your AWS traffic passes through, and we do not host your data.

ARNscope is not affiliated with or endorsed by Amazon. AWS and Amazon Web Services are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates.

2. Free trial

You can use the full App free for 14 days, without a payment card. When the trial ends, the App asks for a licence key to keep working. Please use the trial to confirm the App works with your Mac and your AWS accounts before you buy.

3. Licences and pricing

• Yearly licence: use of the App for one year from the date of purchase, renewed automatically each year until you cancel.
• Lifetime licence: a one-time payment for use of the App with no renewal.

Prices are shown on arnscope.com and at checkout, in US dollars. Any applicable sales tax or VAT is shown at checkout before you pay. A licence is for one person and may be activated on up to the number of Macs stated at checkout. You receive your licence key by email straight after payment.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card or bank details.

4. Delivery

The App is software delivered electronically. Nothing is shipped. Your licence key arrives by email within minutes of a successful payment; if it has not arrived within 24 hours, write to [email protected].

5. Cancellation

You can cancel a yearly licence’s automatic renewal at any time, from the link in your purchase email or by writing to [email protected]. Cancelling stops the next charge; the licence keeps working until the end of the year you have paid for. A lifetime licence has no renewal to cancel. Orders that have not been paid yet can be abandoned at checkout at no cost.

We may cancel an order before delivering the licence key if the payment fails or appears fraudulent, and will refund any amount taken.

6. Refunds

If ARNscope is not right for you, ask for a full refund within 14 days of purchase (for a yearly licence, within 14 days of the first purchase or of any renewal charge). Email [email protected] with your order number; no reason is required. We deactivate the licence key and refund the full amount to the original payment method. Refunds are started within 2 business days of approval and usually reach your account within 5–7 business days, depending on your bank.

After 14 days, payments are not refundable, except where the App has a defect we cannot fix or where the law requires a refund. Duplicate or mistaken charges are always refunded in full. The full details are in our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

7. What you may and may not do

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the App under these terms. You may not:

• share, sell or publish your licence key, or use the App beyond the number of activations you bought;
• remove or bypass licence checks, or reverse engineer the App except where the law allows it;
• use the App to access AWS accounts or resources you are not authorised to access, or for anything unlawful.

8. Your AWS account and costs

The App acts with your AWS credentials and permissions. You are responsible for what you do through it, including changes to your AWS resources and any charges AWS bills to your account (for example, CloudWatch Logs Insights queries). Actions such as deleting objects, stopping instances or deploying services take effect in your AWS account and may not be reversible.

9. Updates and support

We release updates from time to time. A paid licence includes updates and email support at [email protected] for as long as the licence is active. Beta builds are pre-release software and may change or stop working.

10. Ownership

The App, its name, logo and website are owned by Gulshan Yadav. You get a licence to use the App, not ownership of it. Open-source components included in the App are covered by their own licences, listed in the App.

11. Warranty and liability

We work to keep the App reliable, but it is provided “as is”, without warranties beyond those the law requires. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data or lost profits, or for AWS charges, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the licence in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Termination

You can stop using the App at any time. We may deactivate a licence key that is shared, resold, obtained by fraud or used in breach of these terms, after telling you why by email.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes will be announced on this page and, for active licence holders, by email; they do not reduce rights you already paid for.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please write to us first so we can try to resolve any problem. If we cannot, the courts at Thane, Maharashtra, India have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any rights you have as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
